Management Accountant
I am proud to be recruiting for my long-standing client Applied Kilovolts, a valued subsidiary of IMI plc. IMI plc is a manufacturing business which is at the forefront of delivering motion and fluid control technologies, and Applied Kilovolts manufactures high-voltage power supplies for quadrupole and time-of-flight mass spectrometry.

The role of management accountant reports to the financial controller and oversees a small, dedicated finance team. Your key duties will include:
- Production of monthly management accounts package within deadlines with full variance analysis and commentary for finance and non-finance colleagues.
- General ledger journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Analysing and reporting on financial results.
- Budgeting and forecasting in liaison with budget holders.
- Overseeing the accounts team in the maintenance and integrity of ledgers.
- Audit co-ordination and dealing effectively with external auditors.
- Standard cost and inventory control / analysis including sales, manufacturing, and margin variances.
- New product profitability reviews.
- Process and control improvements to benefit the efficiency of the finance function and the wider business.
To be considered for this vital role you will have the following attributes, skills, and experience:
- Ability to produce accurate and timely results under pressure and to meet deadlines.
- A great communicator and team leader who works collaboratively to nurture a positive working environment.
- Proven success in a similar commercial management accounting role with a manufacturing subsidiary business, ideally with experience in standard costing principles.
- CIMA/ACCA qualified, or with a similar level of professional qualification.
- Advanced Excel / data analysis skills, with recent exposure to ERP and modern business/accounting applications.
- Knowledge of IFRS, US/UK GAAP reporting.

Please note that the position is office-based in Goring-on-Sea and is full-time. Standard hours are 07:30 to 16:15, Monday to Thursday, and 08:30 to 13:00 on Friday. Extra hours will be needed at busy times and to meet deadlines. Salary is up to £62,000.
